Scout’s Hiring Process

The minimum workflow every recruiter must follow to mitigate placement risk.

  1. Robust Prescreen & Matching

Verify skills, career goals, compensation, cultural and logistical fit before you ever share a CV.

  2. Interview Preparation

Prep both candidate and client before every interview—agenda, decision criteria, and next steps.

  3. Candidate Debrief

Immediately after each interview, probe for reservation to tackle at the next interview and confirm continued enthusiasm.

  4. Client Debrief

Focus on reasons the role would not be a fit; surface hidden objections early and tackle at the next interview.

  5. Clarify & Resolve Reservations

Broker dialogue—or relay information—until all reservations are addressed before moving to a formal offer. Don’t limit the number of times the two parties can meet.
